Amanda Karström, a Stockholm-based bassist and composer. She has been seen everywhere on Stockholm's jazz scenes in various contexts. Right now she is active in the guitar trio Abbytarbänken, a newly started quartet under the name Lost in Lucerne and she has just recorded an album with Matilda Schyborger.

Amanda started with music at a very young age, but then it was classical violin. It wasn't until high school that she picked up the bass and became interested in improvisation and jazz. With a background in the classical world, it has shaped her tone and improvisation.
