Hurrakel the Show is a release concert for Hurrakel's debut album wrapped in a refreshing performance format. It is a 1 hour long show where the band collaborates with two stage artists. Anna Lund is a director, screenwriter and composer and plays the queen-like, grandiose, mammoth, musty and magnificent drum-playing character Alfa-Ankan.

AUDREY CHEN/KATT HERNANDEZ
AUDREY CHEN is a Chinese-American musician born in 1976. Using the cello, voice and occasional analog electronics, Chen’s work delves deeply into her own version of narrative and non-linear storytelling. A large component of her music is improvised and her approach to this is extremely personal and visceral. Her playing explores the combination and layering of the homemade analog synthesizer, preparations and traditional and extended techniques in both the voice and cello. She works to join these elements into a singular ecstatic personal language.
Over the past decade plus, her predominant focus has been her solo work with the cello, voice and electronics, but she has more recently begun to shift back towards the exploration of the voice as a primary instrument.
Recent projects, aside from performing solo, include her long running voices duo with London based artist, Phil Minton, and duos with NYC abstract turntablist, Maria Chavez, French guitarist, Jean-Yves Evrard, BEAM SPLITTER, with Norwegian trombonist, Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø, the “romantic noise duo” AFTERBURNER with Doron Sadja (electronics/light projections), with modular synth player, Richard Scott, with American percussionist, Flandrew Fleisenberg and a collaborative project with German conceptual artist, John Bock.

KATT HERNANDEZ is a renowned violinist from the USA, living in Sweden since 2010. Katt is classically trained on her violin, but she has also studied composition, electronic music, jazz, Eastern European folk music and improvisation. Katt Hernandez mainly plays free improvised music and she is a veteran of the improvisational and experimental music scenes in Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and New York.
Katt has performed in contexts ranging from underground stages to large concert halls together with an incredible breadth of musicians, dancers, visual artists, filmmakers and performance artists such as; Joe Maneri, Joe Morris, Jonathan Vincent, Gordon Beeferman, Joel Grip, John Berndt, Matt Samolis, Gene Coleman, Audrey Chen, Saul Levine, Zack Fuller, Erik Ruin and many others.

THE LISA GROTHERUS QUARTET
Lisa Grotherus premiered her music at the Stockholm Jazz Festival last fall, when Sveriges Radio also recorded and broadcast the concert. It's playful modern jazz with touches of folk tunes and stripped-down pop. Lisa has previously written music for film and theater and her music takes place in several genres. The common denominator is improvisation and her feeling for strong melodies. Inspiration for the music is taken from poetry, performing arts and a bridge in Mostar, Bosnia Herzegovina. Tonight we get to hear Lisa together with three colorful musicians in an exciting set.
Lisa Grotherus – clarinet/bass clarinet
Oskar Schönning – double bass
Lisa Långbacka – accordion
Magnus Vikberg – drums

Lupino Live 13/9 Nina de Heney + Diers/Müntzing
2017.08.31
Hello and a warm welcome to the autumn's first Lupino Live evening. Our guests are none other than NINA DE HENEY and LISBETH DIERS/HERMAN MUNTZIG
We are at Khimaira, Sofiagatan 1. Concert starts at 19:00, we meet in the stairwell from 18:45. Wine and snacks are available for cheap money. Entrance SEK 100, student/impra member SEK 50
NINA DE HENEY (SE)
Double bassist Nina de Heney is one of the most influential musicians on the improvisation scene in Sweden. A place she cemented for a wider audience in 2012 when she received the award Jazz Musician of the Year 2012. Her solo records have been praised in unison in the press. She conjures sonorous rooms where the listener is drawn in: sound, body and memory are put into suggestive states.

LISBETH DIERS/HERMAN MÜNTZING
Danish percussionist Lisbeth Diers is active as a musician, composer and artistic director in various
musical projects, both nationally and internationally. Characteristic of Diers are i.a. the way she
mixes percussion sounds with the drum set. She uses various acoustic instruments and objects, which are placed on the drums, this creates the possibility for dynamic and alternative timbres.
Herman Müntzing has been twisting and turning acoustic and electric objects since the 80s. From ordinary
instruments to shorted video mixers, miked silence and slow-rolling ping pong balls melt
together in his creation. He is also the creator of the 12-string instrument "Flexichord" consisting of strings and pickups from two electric guitars attached to a horizontal solid piece of wood. To play the instrument, experiment with acoustic objects.

OWL
In a cinematic space, there is uncertainty about where the sounds are coming from. Organically, the freely improvising duo OWL merges acoustic sounds from alto sax with electric ones from electric guitar, contact microphones and other electronics.
The free play with preparations and the sense of space and depth show the duo's influences from noise, minimalism and free improvisation.
Karl Bjorå (NO) – Guitar & electronics

NUAIA feat. JONAS KULLHAMMAR
The Fripop group Nuaia makes a unique collaboration with Sweden's saxophone guru Jonas Kullhammar. A mix of jazz, free improvisations, pop and electronica. In a universe where vocals, sax, drums and acoustic sounds meet electronic soundscapes, personal stories are born that are conveyed with an unusual intensity and presence.
In 2015 Nuaia released her second album "belong to the moon" (BoogiePost Recordings) and in recent years has played at everything from clubs in Germany and Sweden to CPH jazz festival and Tampere Jazz Happening.
Jonas Kullhammar has participated in over 150 disc recordings and has received many awards and prizes, including the Lars Gullin award, jazz cats, Grammy nominations and a golden badge for best film score. Jonas is best known from Jonas Kullhammar Quartet, Kullrusk and Nacka Forum.

EIGHTY TWELVE
Antti Tolvi is a father, composer, sound artist, performer, taiji teacher and more. Born in 1977. Lived first 19 years in farm west coast of Finland. Then moved to City (Turku) where little by little the world started to open. Found first wind instrument, didgeridoo. Then found free jazz (saxophone in Rauhan Orkesteri 2001->), but at the same Indian classical music started to sound very interesting. Soon trip to Varanasi and studying Indian classical music. Next was nature and taiji studies. After 10 years in Turku moving back to countryside. Slowly from wild / chaos / free to more solo and minimalism world. Zen meditation came in. Children. Everything starts to come together. After 10 years back in the countryside, everything starts from the beginning. Didgeridoos sounds again great and interesting. Schlagers sounds better than ever, birds, wind, silence, harmony..

TV DINNER EDUCATION feat PETER LARSSON
Broken harmonies played on an oddly stringed toy guitar. Up tempo slap-back delay with jazzy-punky drum beats relayed through contact mics. Pitched dada vocals and circuit-bent synthesisers recorded onto cassette tapes. TVdE are influenced by musical experiments from every corner of our world, to capture "beauty" and play around with the science of sound.

Since we started Peter Larrson has joined every performance we did as an artist working with live visuals to enlarge the experience in to the stereographic sphere. His work is beautiful, colorful and somewhat enigmatic. He is the third member of the group!
