Emmalisa Hallander

Emmalisa Hallander is a vocalist, composer and lyricist on the Swedish jazz scene. The music magazine Lira named Hallander "breakthrough of the year 2023", and several have compared her to greats such as Alice Babs and Anita O'day. Despite her young age, she has managed to sell out Fasching under her own name, toured with Peter Asplund, sang as a soloist with the Stockholm Jazz Orchestra, received several scholarships, and not least produced and released her debut album, 'Have a Look Inside'. The album has received great reviews, where Hallander has been praised for his compositions, lyrics and vocal efforts. In the spring of 2024, she will do a Norrland tour with her own band as well as a tour in Japan with, among others, Peter Asplund and Karin Hammar. Parallel to jazz, Hallander participates in the pop duo Sand & Hallander, where she composes, sings and plays guitar together with Nina Sand. The duo's first album 'Love, love not' was released last autumn and was reviewed by, among others, Jan Gradvall.
