Anna-Maria is a singer, songwriter and arranger

who just recorded their debut album. In this

the album she has invested her heart into. It consists of a

collection of musical short stories with a variety of

musical expressions, some with text and others without. The the common thread is that it is her words, hers

compositions and her arrangements. She writes

modern and uses an everyday and honest address i

his lyrics about life, when you're in the middle of it.

 

The seed for several of the songs on her upcoming album

was already sown in Boston, 2002. Anna-Maria wrote a number modal compositions which were recorded as simple demo versions in a practice room. A number of moves later, the recordings were rediscovered. It turned out that the compositions had not only nerve but also melodic and harmonic dimensions that felt both personal and forward-looking. Anna-Maria continued to work with the music, arranged parts of it for up to four brass, but also got inspiration to write even more music, this time with texts in Swedish.

 

Anna-Maria then formed a band with experienced jazz musicians from Gothenburg, which resulted in some highly appreciated live performances and later also a record that will be released in its entirety on April 19, 2024.
