Sara Aldén

Vocalist Sara Aldén is a trained jazz and improvisational musician at Lunnevad Folk High School and the University of Music in Gothenburg and gender studies at the University of Gothenburg, and her two legs to stand on are jazz and gender. She is active in Gothenburg and has been an active freelance musician since 2013. She debuted with the critically acclaimed EP "A Room of One's Own" in 2022, where she and her band explore the norm and form of jazz with a very own expression and musical language. She released her debut album "There Is No Future" in march 2024 where she highlights the darkness in current times where climate change and war is a part of our everyday life, but doesn't have to be a part of our future. In her work she creates jazz on life and death!

Sara has worked with bands and artists such as Anders Jormin, Lina Nyberg, Nils Landgren, Malin Wättring, Martin Sjöstedt and Roger Pontare. Sara has also written music for Bohuslän Big Band and Gothenburg Wind Orchestra.
